Basically, he wants to address that almost everything we use or eat has a tax which frustrates a common man who is living a hard life already.
If we see, in India we have to pay tax on everything except breathing. It seems that the day is not far when we will have to pay taxes even on breathing.
There is a tax on everything in India, for example, if you buy a car, you have to pay road tax on it if you drive a car on the road, you have to pay toll tax, along with this, if you go to buy clothes, you have to pay GST on that too and recently Nirmala Sitharaman ji has imposed GST on caramel popcorn too. It is not surprising that so many taxes are imposed, the question is that we already pay 30% tax on our own salary, so why an additional tax on it when we go to buy something?
Moreover, even after paying heavy taxes on everything, if we park our car somewhere, the government charges separate money for parking. At least the parking should be free if we pay so much taxes.
